Would you like to receive an audio magazine, produced in stereo every month, for Blind and Vision-Impaired people? The National Talking Express, which was started in September 1979, could be the one for you.
The audio magazine contains competitions (with prizes), interviews, feature articles, and a lot of useful information. You can also have your say in the Talk-Back section.
You can listen online free of charge here or, by becoming a member of NTE, you can support our cause and have it delivered on Tape or MP3 CD (which can be played on a DAISY talking book player).
You will also receive Media Roundup at no extra cost. This magazine was started about eight years ago by popular demand. This contains items and headlines from the media. (which can be read in full by request). News of new radio stations and TV channels, updates to electronic programme guides, etc.
If you would like to receive a sample copy of the magazines on tape or CD fill in the Contact form or call the NTE office on 0207 511 8439. Leave your name and number and we will get back to you.

Donate to the NTE online via CAFWe partly finance production of the magazines with weekly public collections, mainly at mainline tube stations in and around London but occasionally in other towns and cities. The collections take place every Wednesday, either at peak travel times or all day from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, with people taking various shifts. Collections are led by experienced staff who amongst other tasks, can supply the collectors with hot tea and biscuits! If you would like to help please contact the office on 0207 511 8439.
This is where Members of NTE and other organisations whose members are print impaired can post notices of up-coming events and information on subjects related to print impairment, e.g. courses to help individuals who are print impaired to find a job.
